Lloret Sustainable By Bioscore
Lloret Sustainable by Bioscore is a project led by the Lloret de Mar Town Council, through Lloret Turisme and the company Bioscore, which establishes a framework for partnership and collaboration between the different private and public actors involved in the development of local tourism activities, committed to working together to improve the sustainability of both the destination and the actors involved.
Certification of the Bioscore Sustainability Management System in Destination Bioscore Sustainability
Lloret de Mar was the first destination to obtain this sustainability certification, which allows it to have a comprehensive management system based on the establishment and monitoring of sustainable management indicators for the destination, which are periodically recorded and analysed using specialised management software.
To obtain this certification, participating establishments must meet minimum sustainable management requirements in areas such as: energy and water consumption registration, carbon and water footprint calculation, waste management, CSR policies and best practices in sustainability.
